We will speak with our front of house leadership in the restaurant to see where the shortfall occurred in service time on the room service and availability on the day you mentioned, as well as address the employee errantly disturbing you in the room prior to departure without using the three knock and declaration standard of service they are expected to provide. Seasonal occupancy demands throughout the town leave little room for last minute bookings even when our concierge has deep connections with local restaurants. Stowe during peak foliage season is always something we recommend you have reservations for dining in town booked well in advance. Our team will always endeavor to find dining options and transportation for you whenever possible. Hello Sita, I'm sorry to see you had challenges with the experience. If you reserve, just expect below mediocrity - and then you’ll realize it’s not worth the price they charge. If you want luxe resort, *don’t stay here*. For the price we were charged (Ritz Carlton prices), I expect someone to help us figure out where to eat, help us figure out how to get around, feed us on property, and not walk in on my room as I am getting dressed. And all we ordered were yogurts and coffee! Then, when we wanted to eat at the hotel restaurant, it was 75% empty but the host tells us “they’re at capacity.” Why? I’m not making this up when I was getting ready to leave at 10:56, male housekeeping opens the door to my room as I am getting dressed. Then why accept the booking? When we would order room service, it showed up two hours late. The resort clearly was upselling us the entire time, telling us it was IMPOSSIBLE to find a table for dinner or a way to get anywhere. My teenager and I are low key, and just needed places to eat and transport to get there. It’s 5,5 miles so be prepared, or hire a bike!…ĭISASTER. If you stay here, you must take advantage of the Stowe Recreation Path, a delightful safe and paved route into Stowe itself. If you decide not to eat on site then you are going to need transport to another venue. All the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly- clearly well chosen and properly trained. The menu isn’t especially inspiring but the cheese and charcuterie board I had was excellent, incorporating significant portions of three different cheeses and lots of sliced fresh fruit with a little more meat it would have challenged for the title of best ever. The restaurant provides a relaxed environment it includes TVs and a shuffleboard. The hotel boasts two outdoor pools and one inside, as well as indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Our room was everything we wanted quiet, spacious, comfortable with an excellent shower and plenty of space for clothes and luggage. Fortunately, the people who created the Top Notch Resort near Stowe knew what they were doing. If you’re going to call a hotel ‘ Top Notch’ then you’re taking a bit of a risk. Also: vegetarians beware and make backup plans. It wasn't terrible, but it was a small fortune and not worth it. A reviewer below stated that it seems like a clubhouse for all the condo units and I have to say I felt the same way. What kind of resort runs out of regular teabags for three days? I was here many years ago and something has definitely changed. My tea drinking husband was unable to secure a teabag of black tea for three consecutive mornings, each time being told by the restaurant staff that they were "out". Why do the pools and hot tubs close so early? Why is there absolutely nothing to eat at the "resort" past 9 pm? We arrived at 8:45 pm and were completely out of luck. ) Our room could have used a refresh, true, but the lack of service in the rest of the resort bothered me a lot more. Where are the luxurious places to hang out and relax? ( I definitely wouldn't come here in the winter. But it is supposed to be a "resort" and to me a "resort" has luxury amenities and food service available past 9 pm and more choices than a small restaurant with a limited menu next to the lobby. Cons: If this were a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express, then I wouldn't really be offering cons, but then my price point and expectations would have been vastly different as well. In our family, great pools and hot tubs earn an automatic three stars. The concierges were friendly and helpful as were the front desk staff. We enjoyed the outdoor fire and the limited grounds were lovely and enjoyed by us and our dogs. Pros: The outdoor and indoor pools and hot tubs were great.
